Heyo, I'm new. Just thought I'd say hi. I'm a sophomore college student. Had a really good high school experience, guess I was lucky. We had a gay principal and there were several out teachers, our GSA was well received by the student body and the community. My college is in central PA, though, so it's a very different atmosphere here. We're working toward change, though!

I'm really happy for you. I'm just glad my college won't be like that. Yeah I had one teacher tell me not to be flamboyant when I'm so shy I have trouble walking into class. The only time I'm not shy is around LGBT people lol.

Wooohhhh... Must have been tough.... but hey! you made it through!!!!!! cONGRATS Katherine!!!!! LoL "homophobe High"... in my high school, alot of the student leaders and popular/influential people were GLBT students and teachers... i guess i was just lucky... But you know what they say, 'a good pounding makes a sword stronger...' :)

Congrats markie, I'll be a college freshman this fall. I'm so glad to get away from my high school, it was so bad. I think I might be the first GLBT student to not drop out. We nicknamed it homophobe high.
