I also am a life long animal lover/activist. I am a vegetarian (Tofukey for Thanksgiving, baby!)
I have been married to a wonderful, open-minded Christian man since September 2000.
We have no "human" children, but 8 furry kids! (3 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 ferrets).
I am currently the Hospitality Hostess for Unidiversal Charismatic Christian Faith.
I also am involved in our Animal Ministries Program. At Unidiversal, we know God loves all of the animals too!!!!
I have always been a PROUD friend of gays, Jews, African-Americans, Muslims, Latinos, Buddists, Asians, Transgender people, Hindus, Mixed-Race peoples and many others.
My church supports love and diversity for ALL PEOPLE......We Mean It!!!

Whoo-hoo Ray!!
Anyway, as you can imagine, some people are NOT happy with this development. I have found some downright HATEFUL stuff posted on-line about him. (By "good Christian people", of course!). He recently put out a lovely, uplifting pro-gay marriage song, called "Don't Tell me Who Love". Here are the lyrics, enjoy!

But hey, Pam Spaulding added me as a friend today, so I feel doubly honored! I get to visit with you, AND make friends with THE shiz-nit woman of teh GLBT blogosphere. And I still haven't killed anybody yet, so I guess I'm doing okay for now. Despite the billions of mow-rahns here & the rest of this CUNT-ry who NEED KILLING, I'm still behaving myself. Relatively.
Give my love to the critters and that good man of yours, and tell him to get you a Hitachi Magic Wand, 'cause the one that Robin sent is my new best friend! It helps with my back & neck like all hell, too! Okay, not the same thing as traction, but it's better than nothing!

Best storyteller you'll ever hear, so if you get the chance to see him live @ a spoken-word gig, SO worth it! And if you hang out by the bus after the show, he'll talk to you and sign autographs and take pictures.
At the last show I saw of his in NOLA, I had to play part-time roadie b/c of a junkied-out chick in our section of floor seats, but at least @ the B.R. show the following year, his guys & the Varsity guys had a better handle on things than the lazy farts @ the H.O.B./NOLA.
Suffice it to say, Mike The Road Manager & the majority of the security/roadie staff were up on the opposite balcony, laughing their asses off as I did *THEIR* jobs. Soooooo not funny.
