I am so glad you replied to my email. I am finishing my MA in June (100 hours of internship left). I didn't attend the Integral Theory conference but it sounded interesting. I have some very good professors in OD, one lives in Puerta Vallarta and works there 1/2 year even more. His name is Maurice Monette. He was the director of the OD program at JFK. The program is closing for a few reasons. Its unfortunate as it is a great program run by professors who have their own businesses. Anyway, I will miss these great people but hope to keep in touch with them somehow. Sharon Mulgrew is a mentor to me.
So, my background is in biotechnology for the past 15 years and before that I was in the oil industry as a lab technician. I am currently on disability for having Whooping cough of all things and I am still healing. But I may decide not to go back if I can find a job in OD. I see that the market is down though too. I may find a job at Genentech who have several OD positions usually. They do require experience though. 10 years!! I think its amazing how much experience it takes to enter a new field.
Its nice to talk with you and please let's keep in touch. I will be revising my resume to include my internships (3) and my diversity experience (on the Diversity council at Bayer for 5 years and chair for 1). Could you send me a copy of your resume if its not too much to ask to see how you put your OD experience in there? Let me know thanks.
I am a student in OD about to finish my MA in Org. Psychology from JFK University in Northern California. I see you too are an OD consultant and much more. How did you first get into the OD field? Do you have any advice for a new person in OD? I am familiar with Out and Equal as they helped my company I work with being more inclusive. Let me know what you think ok?
