Giving back to one that gave us a wonderful friendship!
On October 6th 2009 the Transgender community lost a great sister to a tragic motorcycle/Jeep accident in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Carly Coble was a wonderful T-Girl, a M2F transgender, She was an Administrator/Manager of this Ohio Pink Ladies transgender support group. Carly was very outgoing, an upcoming leader of the communities as a whole, She was a Friend {My best friend}, A sister, A motherly father to her son's and daughter and she was a newly married spouse to Cheryl her loving supportive wife and Buck, a 17 year old son still in school. Above all she was an open friend to all she touched in or out of the GBLT community.
Cheryl supported and was very active of and with Carly in her ventures of life in her Transgender form and is a supporter of the transgender community to her other sisters and their SO's. Cheryl is a major part of the OPL's SO's side and a co-administrator of the SOS (Significant Others Support) group. Cheryl is planning on continuing to be with us in the TG community to assist and help other SO's.
Carly had no life insurance, This also leaves Cheryl without a big part of her income to continue on, leaving them in a very sad financial hardship that hopefully the GBLT community can come together to help lift a small partition of this burden.
As a caring, supportive, standing together community I am directing the Ohio Pink Ladies Support Group in setting up a BENEIFIT in the Memory of Carly to help Cheryl and Carly's son Buck in the hard times. I ask that we all come together and give some support back in this benefit. Come out and be a part of this.
This tragedy leaves them in a financial hardship that as a community I hope we can help in a small way. Come out to the benefit and PLEASE give your support to one of our families in need.
This will take place from 3:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Caesar's Show Bar 725 Jefferson ave Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, November 7th.
We are having food w/open cash bar, A white elephant auction and raffles, 50/50 split drawings, also "IPOD Torture" there will be music by one of Toledos best DJ's "Billy" for dancing and listening and there will be a short amature drag show.
Some of the items on the raffle are $20.00 gift certificate from Frisch's Big Boys restaurant, A $20 gift certificate from Ralphie's Sports Eatery, $20.00 gift certificate to Applebee's, 2 free meals & 2 free movie passes from Red Robin, 2 free dinners at Golden Corral, 2 complete entree's and beverage at Spaghetti Warehouse, and 2 free nights stay at any RED ROOF INN in the US and Canada. (more being added for the raffle)
The White Elephant Auction is a blind auction where you bid on an item that is wrapped or in a bag/box. All items are new or fairly new or collectible items. The item is described with out telling the actual name of the item. If you have never been to a W.E.A. , OMG, It is fun and exciting...
{Please if you have a gift you received and never used or had a use for it or if you purchased one and never gave it or have a nice collectible around that you would like to see at a new home please contact me to donate it to the benefit auction}
"IPOD Torture" Now this is FUNNY. What happens is someone places a $5.00 bounty on someone and that person has to step to the mic with the ipods ear-buds on and we pick a song at random. Knowing the song or not they must sing it to everyone with the words they think they are hearing. No we don't hear the music we only hear the singer. It is very funny and fun....
Come out and have fun, Enjoy the fun memories that Carly gave us. She wanted fun and happiness in life for everyone so we are continuing this for her and helping Cheryl and Buck at doing this benefit.
